After it's sucess showcasing around other Irish towns, documentary "The Rent Strike" comes to Dundalk this Sepetmeber.

The Irish film tells the real events of a momentous strike across the island, which saw council tenants withholding rent in protest against increasing costs and poor living conditions. Using RTÉ archive footage from between 1970 to 1973, the creators show how over 350,000 tenants throughout Ireland took part in this widescale challenge. We are also promised some personal glimpses via interviews of the surviving strikers and their families, intertwined throughout this tale of people power.
